​Dr David Soo is an Australian pianist who has performed extensively as a solo recitalist, chamber musician, and concerto soloist. He made his London debut at the Barbican and St-Martins-in-the-Fields and has performed in significant venues throughout the world. David has broadcast on ABC Classic FM, New Zealand Classic FM, FMITE Spanish Radio, and the MBS Networks. He has been invited to adjudicate many eisteddfods and national competitions, among those include the Melbourne Recital Centre’s National Bach Prize, 3MBS Young Performer Awards, and this year’s Royal South Street Celebrating Chopin prize. David holds a Master of Performance and an Artist Diploma in music from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and was awarded his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Music at the University of Melbourne under Ian Holtham, Donald Nicolson, and Melanie Plesch. His principal piano teachers were Glenn Riddle and Joan Havill.
